Vacation Bible School Begins June 22

Requested Donation:  $10 per child for the week.  Scholarship are available.

The Vacation Bible School leadership team eagerly awaits the arrival of new residents to “Discovery Canyon” for this year’s program. Beginning June 22, we gather each evening at 5:15 for dinner, followed by worship, group programs, activities, and Compline. Each evening will end at approximately 8:15.

This year’s theme, “Discovery Canyon,” uses the geography and ecology of the Southwest to help students explore the wonders of God’s word. Each day focuses an a particular theme, such as Rejoice, Ask, Pray, Tell, and Seek, to guide students in their growing relationship with God.

There will also be a mission project focused on the Episcopal Church’s mission to the Navajo Indians who steward the land that inspired this year’s program.

Do you think you’re too old for Vacation Bible School? Not so! Everyone is needed. Younger children to learn, older children to help teach and present the skit during worship, and adults to guide all the fun and minimize the chaos!

While there will be a requested contribution of $10 per child for the entire week (this covers learning materials only), scholarships are available and no one will be turned away. You may speak with Father Dirk if you would like to underwrite a scholarship or if you need financial assistance.
